A warm welcome to you from Buckinghamshire Family History Society. Founded in 1976, we are a group of over 1,500 family historians who have been helping each other with their research. Have a look around and see if we can help with your genealogy. Visitors are welcome to browse, registration is restricted to Society members.
We are very pleased to have publications from the John Hampden Society in our on-line shop. This is part of a service that we offer to local history societies to promote and sell their publications. The John Hampden Society is unusual in that it's interest is in a person rather than a local town or village.
Alan Dell Memorial Award
Update: We are now judging this year's entries and will be announcing the winner at the AGM in April. A very interesting collection of articles. Time to start thinking about next year.
The Award has been introduced to commemorate the life of Alan Dell who made such a great contribution the Society as President, long-serving committee member and award-winning editor of Origins, the Society magazine.
Ashley Green during the second world war
The Ministry of Information filmed life in rural England to ally the fears of parents who have sent their children away due to the bombing. Fortunately for us Ashley Green was chosen which gives an insight to village life.
